BELMAL NEWS NOVEMBER 2015 en français in het Nederlands |

"An autumn evening in Mons" is a small photo-reportage made in
a record time. The weather was not really favourable; hence the photos show a sort of
misty-chilly pre-winter effect. The Grand Place at Mons was
somewhat deserted on that Monday evening, but that surely didn't
prevent Lara, the face of Belmal, from taking us there. Photographer and model took
along a movie prop nicknamed the pharaoh. It is
composed of a cabin trunk, covered with the original Belmal
chequered damier
canvas found in Venice, and strapped onto a cart painted in the
same colours. Why it is called pharaoh will become
clearer when the entire story of the Belmal damier origin will have been
published (in the course of 2016). Egyptian or not, our
miniature caravan toured the Grand Place. As if going back 100 years, we awaited a barouche or stagecoach that
never arrived. Discover
the few photos... |
